Formulated to address symptoms of daily stress and frustration, Stress Suppress provides specific ingredients known to support healthy levels of calming neurotransmitters that enhance the body’s ability to cope with stress, elevate mood and support relaxation. Chronic or constant stress can take a toll on the body, contributing to long-term health issues, such as suppressed immune function, elevated blood pressure, autoimmune syndromes and arterial inflammation, as well as cognitive, emotional and behavioral dysfunction. Stress Suppress aids the body in returning to homeostasis by encouraging balanced stress and inflammatory responses, providing nutrients to improve symptoms of stress and supporting a general sense of wellbeing.

Ingredients include:

Pantothenic Acid (Vitamin B5): Often referred to as the anti-stress vitamin, Vitamin B5 is considered a key factor in supporting adrenal function. Sufficient vitamin B5 may help minimize some of the systemic effects of stress. Researched health benefits of pantothenic acid include the reduction of stress, anxiety and symptoms of depression. Vitamin B5 can help to reduce body fatigue and lower stress levels by aiding the down-regulation of cortisol in high stress conditions, allowing the adrenals to rest and recover normal function.

Vitamin B6 as Pyridoxal 5’ Phosphate (P5P): This biologically active form of vitamin B6 is a necessary cofactor for many enzymatic processes. P5P has a significant impact on central nervous system production of serotonin and GABA, calming neurotransmitters that can positively affect emotional response, pain perception and anxiety. All B vitamins play an important role in physical and psychological functions. They are known to support and maintain healthy metabolism, proper nerve function and energy production.

Niacin as Niacinamide: Niacinamide, a water-soluble form of vitamin B3, has anti-inflammatory, anti-excitatory and muscle relaxing properties. Niacinamide is a vital cofactor for the synthesis of serotonin, a neurotransmitter that contributes to feelings of wellbeing and happiness. It is essential for cellular energy production, as well as skin, blood cell, brain and nervous system health. Insufficient niacin can result in symptoms of depression, anxiety and fatigue. Niacinamide has been shown in clinical studies to naturally and safely mitigate symptoms of anxiety without dependence or negative side effects.

GABA: GABA is the body’s major inhibitory neurotransmitter. GABA inhibits the activity of neural cells in the brain and central nervous system, resulting in increased alpha waves and decreased stress-associated beta waves. Orally administered GABA has been shown in studies to have a positive effect on relaxation and immunity. These findings denote that GABA can work effectively as a natural relaxant, while also reducing anxiety.

Rhodiola: A widely used potent adaptogenic herb, rhodiola helps to relieve anxiety and combat the effects of prolonged stress-related mental and physical fatigue or “burn out.” Adaptogenic herbs act in non-specific ways to increase stress resistance and enable efficient oxygen utilization without disturbing normal biological functions. Rhodiola helps to increase the body’s stress resistance by balancing stress hormone levels, raising or lowering cortisol as needed. Rhodiola has demonstrated the ability to support cellular energy metabolism and positively affect brain function and heart health. Safe for long-term use, adaptogens calm the body and simultaneously boost energy without overstimulating.

L-Theanine: L-theanine is an amino acid found almost exclusively in the tea plant. It has been shown to support relaxation without inducing drowsiness. Research indicates that L-theanine has neuroprotective, mood-enhancing and relaxation properties. L-theanine is believed to play a role in regulating GABA, an inhibitory neurotransmitter, and may have a positive effect on dopamine and serotonin, thereby aiding stress reduction while improving alertness, concentration and attention span without sedative effects.

Phosphatidylserine (PS): Supplemental PS has been shown to be safe and effective for the reduction of both physical and mental stress. By normalizing the cortisol response, PS may promote a more desirable hormonal balance. PS has been shown to reduce the effects of exercise induced stress due to overtraining, as well as modulate some of the physiological changes that can occur with stress. These can include increased risks of cardiovascular disease, central obesity and metabolic syndrome.

Inositol: A naturally occurring compound necessary for proper cell formation, nerve transmission and lipid metabolism, inositol has calming effects that may also positively affect the action of serotonin. Published studies have found inositol to be effective against symptoms of generalized anxiety, while also improving mood and reducing irritability.

Pyrroloquinoline quinone (PQQ): PQQ is associated with improved mood, sleep quality and duration as well as diminished feelings of fatigue. Its antioxidant properties help to relieve inflammation, reduce oxidative stress, and promote and enhance brain and mitochondrial function. Well known for its beneficial effects on energy levels, PQQ may enhance cognitive function by increasing blood flow to the brain.
